Today in my ICT class we had a Skype link up with a lady named Sam who works for the Australian Marine Conservation Society. The Australian Conservation society is Australia’s only national charity dedicated exclusively to protecting ocean wildlife.

1. That you can see the Great Barrier Reef from outer space.
2. 7 of the worlds 8 species of sea turtles live in The Great Barrier Reef.
3. The coral in the reef is getting bleached which has negative effects on the marine environment.

The most interesting part of the presentation for me was getting to look at actual pictures from the reef that were all interesting and beautiful.

This semester in our ICT class we have each been assigned to a group in the Flat Connections Global Project. Each group must research a topic and by the end of the set time produce a video showcasing what we learnt about our given topic.
